How to Configure Sandbox Options for Your Abiotic Factor Server

Learn how to adjust key gameplay settings like difficulty, loot, and survival mechanics using the SandboxSettings.ini file.

Customise your Abiotic Factor server’s difficulty, survival mechanics, and gameplay balance by editing sandbox configuration settings.

Sandbox settings in Abiotic Factor allow server owners to fully control how their world plays. You can adjust elements like enemy difficulty, loot respawns, XP gain, hunger and thirst rates, and more - perfect for tailoring your server to your preferred gameplay style, whether that’s hardcore survival or relaxed exploration.


Editing Sandbox Settings

You can configure your sandbox settings through the SandboxSettings.ini file using your ChipHead Panel:

  1. Log in to your ChipHead Panel.

  2. Stop your Server.

  3. Download SandboxSettings.ini here.

  4. Click Files & Navigate to the directory below:

    AbioticFactor/Saved/SaveGames/Server/Worlds/<Your Save Name>/
  5. Upload your downloaded SandboxSettings.ini - you can drag and drop or use the upload icon!

  6. Open the file and make any desired changes to the available settings.

  7. Click ”Save Content”

  8. Start your server.
